Mistral AI introduced Robostral Navigate, its first model built for embodied navigation. The 8-billion-parameter model enables robots to autonomously move through complex environments using only a single RGB camera rather than costly multi-sensor rigs.
It reaches a 76.6% success rate on unseen validation benchmarks, outperforming multi-sensor approaches through efficient training and reinforcement learning. Mistral positions the model as applicable across many robot types for real-world navigation in offices, homes, and commercial spaces.
