5 Levels of Resilience Maturity in Education

Veeam, Thursday, October 29th, 2026

Veeam summarizes an IDC snapshot placing Asia/Pacific education institutions on a five-level resilience maturity curve, reactive to self-optimising.

The post says restoring systems after ransomware is no longer enough; institutions must show the recovered data was accurate, uncompromised and safe, as boards and accreditors begin asking.

An IDC Info Snapshot sponsored by Veeam, based on IDC's Future Enterprise Spending and Resiliency Survey Wave 5 (2025), maps five levels: reactive, reliable but limited, consistent and repeatable, embedded and proactive (restore only what broke, and prove it), and self-optimising.

It invites readers to benchmark their own confidence gap.
