Fine-Tuning NVIDIA Nemotron to Know Local Rules, Not Just Local Languages

NVIDIA, Wednesday, October 28th, 2026

NVIDIA outlines fine-tuning Nemotron 3.5 Lightning with France and Belgium persona datasets so models learn local procedures.

NVIDIA built Nemotron-Personas-France with Pleias, and Nemotron-Personas-Belgium with Pleias and KU Leuven, as synthetic residents grounded in regional demographics, geography, language and culture.

The workflow combines personas with a behavior contract and official procedure text to generate synthetic conversations, fine-tune with LoRA on NeMo, merge the adapter and evaluate on a frozen test set.

The Nemotron repository provides reusable steps and agent skills.

Pleias uses the datasets in its Lamina spine-care assistant to expand beyond limited real patient cases and test across varied patient profiles.
