The New Stack, Friday, October 30th, 2026

Entire co-founder and former GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke said his worry is that people think they no longer need to learn coding, and that kids should learn computer science basics.
Other conference speakers gave mixed views: SAP's Josh Bentley worried builders lack context, AWS's Darko Mesaros worried about AI slop, GitHub's Cassidy Williams raised safety and cost of access, and Dash0's Frederic Branczyk was cautiously optimistic.
The piece is part of a six-video Inside WeAreDevelopers series.
Entire launched a GitHub alternative using AI agent-assisted Trails instead of pull requests.
