Google announced Gemini 4 Carbon, ranked #1 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index v5.0 with strong cybersecurity benchmark results.
Carbon scores 59 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index and leads cybersecurity benchmarks: SEC-bench Pro 88.2% for finding vulnerabilities, ExploitGym 54.8% for exploitation and CWE-bench 71.0% for patching.
Google reports gains in coding, agentic tasks and secure code generation, and lower misalignment and fabrication in live coding.
It follows Gemini 4 Argon, launched two weeks earlier.
Rollout is deliberate, with Google taking part in the U.S. government's voluntary pre-release testing; access starts with a subset of cyber defenders and expands through the Fairwind Program.
