What Does Your PC Need to Run Agentic AI?

Dell, Wednesday, October 28th, 2026

Dell explains how to size PC memory, GPU, CPU and storage for agentic AI around the workload rather than a generic AI PC spec.

Maria Renton Abu of Dell says agentic AI changes PC buying, because agentic workflows can use 10 to 15 times more tokens than a chatbot, which makes local processing more attractive, so systems should be sized for the whole workflow, not one model.

Her memory guide runs from 16GB for cloud-first AI to 64GB for on-device development and 128GB or more for multi-agent work, with GPU VRAM often the real limit.

The CPU still handles orchestration and tool calls, and 1TB of storage is a practical minimum.

She maps tiers to Dell Pro Precision workstations with NVIDIA RTX PRO Blackwell GPUs, up to the GB10 with 128GB of unified memory.
