Couchbase Converges The Agent Data Stack Around Operational Data
Forrester, Thursday, October 29th, 2026
Forrester says Couchbase is extending its operational data platform to the agent data stack, including managed agent memory and tool connectivity.
AI agents may need operational and analytical data, persistent memory, semantic retrieval and tool access in one reasoning loop, and building that from separate services requires integration and data syncing to avoid stale information.
At its October event in Fort Lauderdale, Couchbase outlined a multimodel convergence strategy to bring more of this stack onto its platform.
New capabilities include managed agent memory, tool connectivity, model access and a translytical bridge between analytics and operational action.
Agent Memory becomes a fully managed service starting on AWS, with one API for conversation history, user profiles and searchable facts, plus time-to-live and deletion controls.
