Tenable Expands AI-Driven Security Orchestration Through Open Integrations
Security Boulevard, Tuesday, October 27th, 2026
Ridge Security says Tenable's OPEN for AI integrations are a welcome step but connected tools still need continuous offensive validation.
Writing for Ridge Security on Security Boulevard, Darin Fredde discusses Tenable's OPEN for AI announcement, which connects Tenable's exposure intelligence with other security platforms through MCP and APIs.
He welcomes the move toward integrated security architecture and points to similar trends at ServiceNow and PlexTrac.
He argues, however, that connecting tools does not make the resulting architecture secure, and that giving AI agents access across tools adds trust boundaries that must be tested.
He recommends continuous offensive validation to prove what is exploitable, prioritize and remediate it, and independently verify fixes.
