Multicloud Backup Without the Silos

Veeam, Wednesday, October 28th, 2026

Veeam pitches Veeam Data Platform as a single console for backing up AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and on-premises workloads.

Veeam says multicloud environments often grow piecemeal, with separate backup tools per cloud causing inconsistent policies, blind spots, data silos, and no unified view.

It presents Veeam Data Platform as one protection engine with native backup for AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure managed alongside on-premises workloads from a single console.

Cross-cloud backup copies keep data outside the cloud that created it, and backups can go to Veeam Data Cloud Vault as immutable, air-gapped storage.

Instant Recovery to Azure can bring workloads online within minutes, and Veeam's portable backup format supports restores across hypervisors, physical servers, and major clouds.
