STA Plugfest Showcases Continued SAS Innovation and Interoperability

SNIA, Tuesday, October 27th, 2026

SNIA STA Plugfest in Santa Clara tested SAS interoperability, including the first preliminary test of the proposed SCSI to NVMe Translation spec.

The SNIA SCSI Trade Association (STA) Community held its latest vendor-neutral SAS Plugfest September 27-30, 2026, at the SNIA Developer Conference in Santa Clara, California.

Participants included AIC, Broadcom, ConnPro, KIOXIA, Microchip, Samsung, Seagate, Teledyne LeCroy, and Western Digital.

Testing covered the first preliminary run of the proposed SCSI to NVMe Translation (SNT) specification, new SBC-5 SCSI Block Commands capabilities, and managed cable interoperability.

STA Chair Cameron T. Brett said the event expanded testing into new areas and remains a valuable collaborative opportunity for the SAS ecosystem.
