Everpure CEO Calls for Data Management Change for the AI Era

Everpure's CEO says duplicate, siloed data undermines AI agents and enterprises need a shared data plane serving every app and agent.
Charles Giancarlo, CEO of Everpure, formerly Pure Storage, says IT architects will soon need to rethink how enterprise data is stored.
Applications have long kept their own copies of data, creating conflicting versions that increase the chance AI agents produce flawed output.
He argues the relationship between data and applications should be inverted through a data plane any application or agent can access, with fewer systems of record as the single source of truth.
Better data access could let organizations replace some SaaS apps with custom AI-built tools and route prompts to lower-cost open-weight models.
