AMD FSR Upscaling 4.1 Boosts Frames and Image Quality on More Devices

AMD expands FSR Upscaling 4.1 machine learning upscaling to more platforms, including Ryzen Z2-based gaming handhelds.
AMD is expanding support for FSR Upscaling 4.1, its machine learning-based upscaling technology, to a broader range of platforms.
The list includes gaming handhelds with Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, Ryzen Z2 Extreme and Ryzen Z2 A processors.
FSR 4 launched exclusively on Radeon RX 9000 Series GPUs in 2025, and FSR Upscaling 4.1 reached Radeon RX 7000 Series GPUs in July 2026.
AMD says the technology delivers a significant image quality improvement over FSR 3.1.
