Why Coding Agents Need Runtime Security as They Gain More Autonomy

Computer Weekly, Thursday, October 8th, 2026

Arcjet extends Agent Runtime Security to coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Copilot for observation, policy and audit.

Computer Weekly's Developer Network reports that Arcjet has expanded its Agent Runtime Security product from custom AI agents to the coding agents developers use.

DevOps and security teams can now observe coding agents across developer endpoints, enforce consistent security policies and audit agent activity with full context for every action.

Arcjet already integrates via JavaScript, Python and Go SDKs and frameworks such as LangChain, and now extends those controls to Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and similar tools.
