Open Source Mod Brings Rate Limits, Costs and CI Status Into View for Claude Code Users

DevOps.com, Monday, October 5th, 2026

Claude Statuspane adds a floating Claude Code dashboard for context, rate limits, cost and CI status, highlighting the need for agent telemetry.

DevOps.com covers Claude Statuspane, an MIT-licensed open source project by developer Anji Xu that uses Claude Code's new mod system to add a floating status card above the prompt.

It shows the active model and effort level, context window usage, progress against five-hour and seven-day rate limits with reset countdowns, directory, git branch and session cost, plus CI results and background tasks via GitHub Actions integration and a progress API.

The article argues that while useful for individuals, DevOps teams ultimately need centralized, auditable telemetry on agent spend, limits and pipeline outcomes.
