TrueNAS 27 Is Here!
TrueNAS, Monday, October 5th, 2026
TrueNAS renames its next release from TrueNAS 26 to TrueNAS 27 and drops month-based version numbers.
The release previously tested as TrueNAS 26 is now TrueNAS 27, starting with RC.1 on October 6, because most users will deploy it during 2027 and the community wanted version numbers matching the deployment year.
The schedule is unchanged, with TrueNAS 27.0 due in early December 2026.
TrueNAS is also dropping the year-and-month format because it now ships one major release a year, so TrueNAS 28 will follow.
