Intel argues that agentic AI involves heavy orchestration, tool execution, memory management and stateful processing, making throughput more important than inference latency alone.
Benchmarking Xeon 6 against 5th Gen AMD EPYC and Arm v9.2A processors with Terminal-Bench 2.0, Intel reports 1.66x and 4.5x the throughput in healthcare, 1.64x and 4.57x in banking, and 1.58x and 4.24x in manufacturing.
The company attributes the results to Xeon 6's balance of compute, memory bandwidth and I/O.
