Google DeepMind is opening its SynthID Detector to everyone globally in English to check whether media was made with AI.
Google DeepMind is making SynthID Detector available globally in English to anyone, letting users check whether an image, video or audio file was made with AI.
The tool covers content from Google and partners including OpenAI, NVIDIA, Kakao and, soon, Apple.
Since its 2023 launch, SynthID has watermarked more than 180 billion images and videos and 240,000 years of audio, and verification features in Search, the Gemini app and Chrome now handle more than 1 million requests a day.
