Google Cloud Modernize bundles migration tools, a new Modernization Hub and agentic assessment into one AI-driven transformation portfolio.
Google Cloud announced Google Cloud Modernize, a portfolio combining Migration Center, Google Cloud VMware Engine, Mainframe Modernization and a new EKS-to-GKE Migration Agent.
At its center is Modernization Hub, a new in-console experience for analyzing source code, mapping dependencies and modernizing Java, .NET and mainframe applications.
A generally available Agentic Quick Estimator turns VMware inventory exports such as RVTools into Compute Engine TCO projections, with a chat interface for testing assumptions like multi-region footprints or BYOL versus pay-as-you-go licensing.
