Cohere launched North 2, a major upgrade to its agentic AI platform with a new agent harness, model choice and cost governance.
Cohere introduced North 2, which it calls its biggest platform upgrade yet, combining enterprise-grade security, intelligence, cost governance and full-stack control in one agentic AI platform that runs wherever data lives.
The release adds a redesigned agent harness for more reliable multi-step automation and richer agent experiences with memory, libraries, skills, artifacts and app creation.
North 2 is model agnostic, supports cloud, on-premises and air-gapped deployments, gives admins granular cost controls, rate limits, user quotas and org-wide caps, and draws on a year of deployments in finance, healthcare, telecom, manufacturing, energy and the public sector.
