Atlassian MCP Brings More of Your Work Within Reach of Any AI Agent

Atlassian, Tuesday, October 6th, 2026

Atlassian rebuilt its MCP server to cover more products with 220+ tools, using up to 25% fewer tokens.

Atlassian says its MCP server, launched under a year ago so tools like Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor can reach work in Atlassian, now handles more than 15 million calls a day.

Rebuilt from the ground up, it connects more Atlassian products beyond Jira and Confluence and offers 220+ tools without bloating context.

Internal benchmarks on Claude models show it can use up to 25% fewer tokens than the previous version on the same work, and a partner quote calls it one of the most-used enterprise MCP integrations on Claude.
