Arista Announces Rack-Scale Architectures for Scale-Up and Scale-Out AI Fabrics
Arista Networks, Wednesday, October 7th, 2026
Arista unveils open Ethernet rack-scale platforms, including Etherlink SU-144, for scale-up and scale-out AI fabrics.
Arista announced an open Ethernet rack-scale portfolio for high-density scale-up and scale-out AI infrastructure, engineered with AMD, Arm, Broadcom, d-Matrix, Meta, Microsoft and Qualcomm under the ESUN initiative.
Its Etherlink SU-144 supports up to 144 accelerators in a single-hop network and scales to 1,024 XPUs across racks, with orthogonal chassis, cabled backplane and cross-rack form factors.
The systems support liquid cooling of 100-400kW, and customers can run Arista EOS or an open NOS as an alternative to proprietary interconnects.
