Why Red Hat Is Building an Open Foundation for Enterprise Agents with OpenClaw Enterprise

Red Hat, Tuesday, September 29th, 2026

Red Hat explains its contributions to OpenClaw Enterprise, an open source control plane for running persistent AI agents in the enterprise.

Red Hat's AI business unit GM Joe Fernandes says an open control plane for agents is emerging as a key layer of the enterprise AI stack, alongside agent sandboxing, AI gateways and AgentOps.

OpenClaw Enterprise is a newly announced, fully open source, enterprise-grade control plane for deploying and operating persistent agents across users and teams, developed in the open by Red Hat, NVIDIA and others.

Red Hat compares the approach to its history with Linux and Kubernetes.
