Building an AI-Powered Multimodal Compliance Monitor: From Training to Tracking to Chat

Red Hat, Wednesday, September 30th, 2026

Red Hat walks through an OpenShift AI quickstart combining computer vision and LLMs to monitor workplace safety compliance from video.

The post describes an end-to-end AI monitoring system that combines computer vision and large language models to track safety and operational compliance across video feeds, such as whether workers wear hardhats, vests and masks.

It covers training custom models, serving them in real time, tracking people and equipment across frames and persisting observations to a database, which users query through a natural-language chat.

A generic JSONB-based schema lets the same app handle other scenarios, and it is packaged as an AI quickstart for Red Hat OpenShift AI.
