Huntress, Friday, October 2nd, 2026

A Huntress survey finds 43% of knowledge workers got no AI training and 74% could not spot a prompt injection risk.

Huntress surveyed more than 500 U.S. knowledge workers, excluding cybersecurity professionals.

It found 53% have access to a company-managed AI tool and 47% are encouraged or required to use one, yet 43% received no formal AI training and 26% have no AI policy or guidance.

Only 20% are very confident they understand AI security risks, only 29% were trained on AI data security, and 74% could not identify that a public-facing chatbot could be vulnerable to prompt injection.
