Introducing Web Search API via AI Gateway

Cloudflare AI Gateway adds a native web search API so agents can ground model calls in live web results instead of guessing URLs.
Cloudflare AI Gateway now supports native web search integration, launching with providers Ceramic.ai, Exa and Linkup.
Developers can inject real-time web context into model inference calls through AI Gateway, REST APIs or Workers bindings, addressing the problem of models being frozen at their training cutoff.
Cloudflare argues that agents today often guess URLs and curl them, producing 404s, whereas search-based grounding lets agents find relevant, current information the way humans do.
