The centerpiece of the evening will be a live demonstration of an Automated Pill Dispensing & Visual Medication Compliance Monitor, a low-cost MedTech prototype that explores how physical AI can support medication adherence monitoring.
Follow the project from a 3D-printed prototype to an end-to-end AI and data system incorporating:
- Embedded Systems: Arduino Nano 33 BLE, servo-controlled dispensing, and 3D-printed components
- Computer Vision: MediaPipe and OpenCV for visual detection and pill verification Python + Edge Engineering: Real-time communication between hardware, camera, and the edge application
- Data Engineering: JSON event telemetry and Databricks Bronze → Silver → Gold architecture
- Machine Learning: MLflow experimentation and adherence-risk scoring
