Varonis launched an AI Triage Agent that investigates security alerts like an analyst for its MDDR service.
Varonis introduced the Triage Agent, an AI incident responder built to speed up its Managed Data Detection and Response (MDDR) service, which monitors customer environments around the clock.
The agent weighs signals such as identity behavior, data sensitivity and login patterns against Varonis's historical incident data, gathering evidence and testing alternative explanations much like a human responder.
Varonis reports the agent maintains a production recall rate above 96%, surfacing real threats without burying analysts in false-positive noise. MDDR analysts have used agentic AI since early 2025 to prioritize alerts at the speed of automated attacks, and the Triage Agent extends that effort.
