Lockheed Martin deployed SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, Recruiting and Onboarding, consolidating HR processes onto a unified cloud platform for its 123,000 employees, nearly 60 percent of whom are engineers and scientists.
The case is useful as a large-scale HR consolidation reference, particularly the payroll component, which is consistently the hardest module to migrate and the one most often left on legacy systems.
The workforce composition also matters, since skills visibility in a heavily technical population is a specific and difficult requirement.
