Also launched: Amazon Linux 2027 in public preview for cloud-native workloads, EC2 R9g and R9gd memory-optimized instances claiming 25 percent better performance than R8g, Lambda SnapStart for container images bringing sub-second startup, and general availability of AWS Agent Registry with enterprise features.
The SnapStart change is the most consequential, since it removes the packaging trade-off between dependency size and cold-start latency.
