Akamai added an AI Assistant to Web Security Analytics, letting SOC and AppSec teams investigate events through natural language queries and receive guided remediation actions.
The problem it targets is the query-language barrier: security analytics platforms hold the data needed to answer a question, but formulating the query requires expertise that most responders under time pressure do not have.
Guided action is the more consequential half, since it moves the tool from producing an answer to proposing a change, which raises the question of what approval gates apply.
