A Jenkins fleet control plane cut administrative overhead through centralized automation and observability.

An enterprise built a three-phase Jenkins control plane over 20 months to manage more than 150 instances across on-premises and cloud environments.

The system uses idempotent Ansible playbooks, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and observability tooling including Prometheus and ELK to deliver one-click upgrades, automated backups, and self-service operations.

Shifting from manual administration to centralized governance with actionable job reporting produced significantly lower overhead, reduced infrastructure costs, and freed engineers from routine Jenkins maintenance.
