How XPUs Meet a World-Class AI Factory

NVIDIA, Monday, August 24th, 2026

NVIDIA argues custom XPU silicon must be deployed within full AI factory infrastructure to deliver on token economics.

NVIDIA argues that generating intelligence at scale means running AI factories continuously, with economics defined by delivered output: tokens per second, tokens per watt, cost per token, utilization and uptime.

Meeting those metrics requires infrastructure designed and built as a complete factory rather than assembled from individual accelerators.

The post addresses hyperscalers and AI-native companies building custom XPUs, arguing that specialized silicon delivers its promised advantage only when deployed within infrastructure engineered as a system.

The pitch is combining specialization with scale, using NVIDIA infrastructure around custom accelerators to build flexible AI factories.
