IBM makes expanded z17 mainframe and LinuxONE 5 portfolios generally available.
IBM announced general availability of newly expanded portfolios of its IBM z17 mainframe and LinuxONE 5 systems.
The expansion is intended to let a broader set of organisations deploy the newest generation of these systems. IBM highlights expanded deployment flexibility, AI readiness, enterprise resiliency and security-by-design as the capabilities customers gain.
The announcement positions the platforms as the foundation for running trusted AI workloads on enterprise infrastructure.
