A rebuilt AWS VPN Client v6.0.x adds CLI support, enterprise admin controls and faster connections.
AWS Client VPN introduced a rebuilt AWS VPN Client v6.0.x with command-line interface support, enterprise administrative controls and faster connection establishment.
The CLI provides full feature parity with the GUI, so customers can script VPN connections into automation workflows and infrastructure-as-code deployments. Previously, integrating VPN connectivity into automated environments required third-party tooling or manual intervention, which the CLI's background operation support eliminates. The administrative controls are aimed at centralising device management across an organisation. Connection establishment times are also reduced in the new client.
