AWS announced the preview of the AWS Security Hub MCP App, a local Model Context Protocol server that surfaces Security Hub exposure findings inside Claude Desktop.
Security analysts can explore and act on findings conversationally instead of switching between the console and their investigation notes.
The app is designed to cut context switching and manual triage during security investigations. Because it runs locally as an MCP server, findings stay within the analyst's environment rather than being pushed to a third-party service.
The release reflects a broader AWS push to make security tooling addressable by AI assistants.
